The Water Resources Department Goa (WRD) has announced that a PowerPoint presentation on the proposed Mirabag (Sanvordem) Zuari Dam project will be made before villagers prior to February 28.
According to WRD officials, the presentation will outline key aspects of the Mirabag dam project proposed at Sanvordem on the Zuari River, including its objectives, technical details and anticipated benefits.
Following the presentation, the government will formally invite suggestions and objections from the villagers to ensure their concerns and feedback are considered before moving ahead with the project.
The WRD has also appealed to residents to withdraw their ongoing agitation, assuring them that the department is committed to maintaining transparency and engaging with stakeholders through dialogue.
Officials reiterated that public consultation remains a key component of the project planning process and urged villagers to participate actively in the upcoming presentation and consultation exercise.
