CURCHOREM: Curchorem police registered a case against an X-Ray technician and a lady staff of Curchorem Up-Graded Primary Health Centre on Monday late evening suspecting a robbery of mangalsutra of lady patient.
According to Investigating Officer PSI Viju Desai, a 46-years-old woman from Ghannemorod-Xeldem visited the PHC for medical check-up and on recommendation of doctor she went to take an X-Ray where she was told to remove all metallic things on her body and asked to wear the hospital gown.
She stated in her complaint that she removed her mangalsutra and put in the pouch and kept the pouch on the side of the bad where she was lying for taking an X-Ray of her shoulder. After taking the X-Ray she went another room to change her dress and when she returned to take her mangalsutra from the pouch, it was missing. She said that she could not trace it even after a search. The value of the mangalsutra is around Rs 1.11 lakh.
Suspecting the X-Ray technician and a lady staff who were present in the room at the time of taking the X-Ray, woman filed a police complaint which was registered Under Section 380 r/w 34 of IPC against them. No arrest has been made since the investigation is in preliminary stage.
