Churchill wishes you Friendship Day!
The cynosure on all eyes on February 4 (Election Day) was the special Facebook video that Churchillbab got Facebook to curate for him wishing everybody Friendship Day. It was really funny to see an odd one like that featuring Churchill and wishing everybody Friendship Day when Friendship Day is actually celebrated in August. And not to forget how Churchill oversubscribed the radio spots on a popular radio channel and his Vote for Churchill advertisement played on until February 6 urging people to vote for him.

At the opening and sealing of the strong room at Borda after the Aquem repoll, the lone former MLA to visit was Jose Philip D’Souza, who commuted all the way from Vasco to Margao. On his way out it was funny how Jose Philip and his PA inquired about the safety of the room and then told the CISF security to please guard the room properly since his future depends on that room. He said, “Mera bavishya isi EVMs mein hai.”
Kaho dil se Joaquim Alemao phir se
Just like Ravi Naik had Kannadiga manifesto this time it was Joaquim Alemao with his tagline “kaho dil se, Joaquim Alemao phir se”. And everybody in Cuncolim was irked and said, “Joaquimak dista ami ghanti re.”
Also people equated his Independent candidature and his symbol Coconut with the Goa Forward party which has Joaquim’s best friend and former aide Vijai Sardesai who has a regional Party Goa Forward Party with the same party symbol. Now to wait and watch is whether a common symbol will mean good or bad for them.
