Oldies at Congress meet?
On Wednesday evening all of Margao was discussing the old faces and senior citizens at the Goa Congress Executive Members meeting which had a small turnout. People were disappointed that the likes of Jeetendra Deshprabhu and others were talking of a comeback which completely negates Congress State President Luizinho Faleiro’s voice of assuring at least 75% new faces representing the Congress in the coming polls.
TMC-Congress connection
All this comes at the onset of Savio Coutinho, the former MMC Chairperson raking controversy by sharing images from his daughter’s birthday party wherein he requested Churchill and Luizinho to jointly raise the toast. After all Coutinho belongs to the Trinamol Congress Party and he and Churchill have contested polls on those tickets and Pratima and Luizinho are both leaders in the Congress party. So they seem to have satisfied all their bosses.
Another 3-way fight in Benaulim?
While it is believed that some MLAs want to rush to the UAE to study dhirios, Benaulim is readying itself for its own three-way Dhirio. Mickky Pacheco and Churchill Alemao are sure to contest from Benaulim and so is the sitting MLA Caitu D’Silva. All want to know who will contest on which symbol. Will Caitu be a Congress candidate and Churchill a NCP candidate? Will Mickky fight on the Lotus symbol or will Caitu and Mickky retain the GVP tag. This battle will be known soon.
