CURCHOREM: A-29-year-old woman from Xeldem tested positive for COVID on Sunday after attending a function at Cottombi along with her friends.
According to Health Officer of Curchorem up-graded Primary Health Centre Dr Mohanrao Dessai, the other persons, who accompanied her, for the function, tested negative. “Although her house is situated a little away from other houses, our team will survey the area by tomorrow,” Dr Dessai informed.
He said on Saturday six members of the family from Codli tested positive and were sent to the COVID Centre. “Two couples and their mother-in-law including one-and-half-year-old child tested positive and all other persons, who came in contact with them have been called on Monday for swab collection,” Dr Dessai informed. Of the swab samples of several people sent for testing. 11 have tested positive till July 19.
