PANJIM: The 8th International Yoga Day was celebrated with zeal and vigour at Shree Kshetra Tapobhumi at Kundaim on Tuesday.
The event was organised by Shree Datta Padmanabh Peeth, Sadguru Yog Gurukul. Students, batus, upadhyays and yog sadhaks from Swami Brahmanand Vidhyalaya, International Sadguru Gurukulam and Sadguru Dnyanpeeth participated in this event.
“India’s vedic culture is a blessing given by sages to humanity. It is our duty and responsibility to preserve, propagate and open this corridor of knowledge to our future generations. The yogic science is associated with life, health, body, nature and is the basis for science. For the society to be united, a living with an understanding is necessary, which is essential to preserve humanity”, said Vinod Naik, incharge of the education section at Tapobhumi.
Mantras were chanted at the beginning of the session. Acharya Kushal Karmalkar, Vinod Naik, teachers Isha Bhamaikar, Madhav Khanolkar enlightened the participants.
