VASCO: Faulty engineering led to loss of a young life on an internal road between Vishal Mart and Chicalim main road near Chicalim panchayat, recently.
This forced an inspection of the stretch by Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho, who was accompanied by panchayat members, PWD officials and the traffic police. However, till date the engineering defect has not been rectified.
The engineering defect has made the stretch accident prone as people take a wrong lane to cross over to another road.
The government officials seem to be in slumber; they haven’t rectified the defect as instructed by the minister during the inspection.
