Youth drowns in Dudhsagar River

PONDA: Sandesh Surya Kundaikar (24), a resident Karmoli Pether in Tiswadi drowned at Dudhsagar River at Dhatfarm Collem on Sunday. According to the police, a group of eight youth from Karmoli had come to Collem to repair the roof of a house. Later, at around 1 pm, they had gone to the river for bath where the victim drowned. Some locals and the police fished out the body of the victim and took it to the primary health centre at Tisk in Usgao where the doctor on duty declared Kundaikar as brought dead.
