PANJIM: A 22-year-old Bihar native drowned off Miramar beach after he entered the waters for a swim, reportedly in an inebriated condition, Panjim police said on Sunday.
Akshilesh Sahani had come along with three of his friends when he decided to enter the waters but was caught in current which dragged him in deep water. His body was found floating later in the evening after which it was sent to the Goa Medical College for post mortem.
In another incident, a 65-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the third floor of a private complex at St Inez.
She was declared dead by the GMC doctors.
