PANJIM: The Vasco Police on Wednesday arrested a youth from New Vaddem for allegedly posting comments against Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on social media.
The police arrested Ronald D’Souza following a protest by a group of “ShivPremis” at the Vasco police station and later filing a complaint against D’Souza for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindu community with his remarks.
D’Souza posted his comments on his Facebook page wherein he made some remark on Shivaji Maharaj after the ruckus by “ShivPremis” outside the Calangute Village Panchayat on Tuesday.
