PANJIM: The Valpoi Police arrested 26-year-old youth from Masorde, Sattari, for allegedly posting derogatory posts on social media against Prophet Muhammad and Islam.
The accused has been identified as Kishan Naik and booked under various sections of IPC for hurting religious sentiments. However, he was released on bail later.
It may be recalled that a large number of Muslims peacefully protested at different police stations across the state demanding immediate action against the social media user who had allegedly posted the offensive comments about Prophet Mohammad and the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi processions.
