MAPUSA: The Anjuna police arrested one Hazifur Mulla (21), a native of West Bengal but currently residing at Nagao, with drugs worth Rs 34,000 during a narcotic raid carried out at Arpora-Calangute Bridge on Tuesday evening.
During the personal check by PSI Remedios D’Souza, the accused was found in possession of 341 grams of a greenish colour substance suspected to be ganja. The ganja and other exhibits were seized under the search panchanama after following all the mandatory provisions of the NDPS Act.
Accordingly, the 21-year-old accused was brought to the police station and placed under arrest.
An offence under Section 20(b) (ii) (A) of NDPS Act has been registered. LPSI Pranita Mandrekar investigation the case.
