SANGUEM: A 25-year-old youth from Kalay village died on the spot while his brother sustained grievous injuries in an accident reported at Pillgal-Kalay in Sanguem. According to sources, 25-year-old Umesh Mishal who was working as a librarian at a private school in Margao, and his brother Nilesh were on their way back home when the accident took place.
Sources informed that the duo was hardly about 400 metres from their residence, when a stray animal reportedly dashed against their scooter. The impact was such that Umesh fell into the nearby bushes, while his younger brother Nilesh fell on the main road.
Onlookers immediately informed the victim’s relatives who took Nilesh to the Sanguem PHC for treatment from where he was shifted to Hospicio, Margao and later to GMC.
