PONDA: Ponda youth on Monday took the lead to set an example for others by taking initiative to repair the potholes on the roads with patches of hot-mix asphalt to avoid accidents in the town.
Following the complaints from locals, a team of youth visited the sites and decided to repair the potholes and edges of the roads.
The team headed by Shamir Badesab prepared a plan of action and executed it with the help of others. The team included Shailesh Shet, Kalpesh Parkar, Jakwan Mulla, Daya Sawant, Irfan sayed, Sameer Naik and Manohar Harmalkar.
Irfan said that the potholes and edges on the Ponda roads were repaired with the patches of hot-mix asphalt, so that the commuters don’t meet with accidents, specially the two-wheeler riders.
The youth said that social worker Rajesh Verenkar supported us by providing hot-mix asphalt and workers.
