PANJIM: Two youth died in a tragic accident in Vasco on Sunday evening when they came under the rear wheels of a KTC vehicle as they tried to evade police while riding triple seat on a bike.
Bike rider Prakash Bind, 30, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital while Arun Kumar Saroj, 19 died at the accident spot. The third pillion rider Ritish Kumar Saroj, 29 is hospitalised.
The KTC bus driver while speaking to media said that the trio was being chased by cops for riding triple seat and collided against the rear wheel of the vehicle near a garment shop at Kharewado.
The impact of the accident was such that one of the victims died on the spot, the bike driver succumbed to injuries at the hospital while the third has been hospitalised with grievious injuries. All three were residents of Birla, Zuarinagar.
