Cuncolim Congress MLA Yuri Alemao has been appointed as the Congress Legislature Party leader. The one-line appointment letter signed by KC Venugopal read “ Honourable Congress President has appointed Shri Yuri Alemao as congress Legislature party Leader Goa with immediate effect.” Incidentally, all the 3 leftover Congress MLAs are first-timers.
Reacting to the appointment of CLP leader, Frontrunner Carlos Alvares Ferreira said he will abide by the party decision. It is a matter of working as a team and reviving Congress, Carlos said.
