You carry a family legacy, does that help you?

Family legacy always helps but I have been working in this constituency for last one and half year. I’m on a door to door campaign and moved from house to house. People here know me by my first name Yuri. Of course they know my father as he was guardian minister here and also uncle Churchill Alemao for the developmental work they have done here.

What does this constituency lack?

There are no basic amenities available here. The roads need to be done. There is no proper water supply. The Selaulim dam providing water to entire Goa is situated in this constituency but people here have no proper drinking water. That’s irony. There are many things that need to be done on priority.

What about issue of mining?

Let me make it clear. I am not supporting any illegal mining. I am fully for legal mining as it helps earn bread and butter for the families here. There is someone or the other from every family working in mines or mining related activity.

What about mining bypass?

That is one project that needs to be done on priority. By the grace of God when I get elected, I will take that work on priority. People want relief from the mining trucks. That is obviously on my election agenda.
