The Dhyan Foundation has strongly objected to a 12-hour eviction notice issued for the Zambaulim gaushala, calling the directive arbitrary and harmful to rescued cattle. Goa coordinator Swati Shilkar said the notice was served on a Sunday amid a large gathering, leaving little time to relocate injured, pregnant and rescued animals safely. She alleged the rushed order puts the cattle’s welfare at risk and questioned the circumstances under which it was issued. The foundation said it will not comply with the deadline until those allegedly responsible for the shelter’s harassment are brought to justice.
