Zenito Cardozo has accused the police of falsely implicating him in the St Cruz case calling it police’s ‘malafide intention and ulterior motive.’
In his intervention petition filed though Advocate Arun Bras D’Sa, Zenito has cited police’s contradictory theory into the investigation. “It is rather surprising that though the Inspector General of Police, Goa Police and the police have been consistently stating about the love affair, the same does not find a mention in the say of the respondent (Old Goa Police) and are therefore guilty of suppression very and suggestion falsi and the applicant (Zenito) therefore has bonafide reason to believe that he will be falsely implicated with malafide intentions and/or ulterior motives and/or oblique purposes,” the petition states.
The police are also contemplating externment proceedings against the history-sheeter. Zenito has also cited his acquittal in another case registered in the years 2012 and 2010.
