PANJIM: The by-elections to Zilla Panchayat constituencies of Reis Magos, Cortalim and Davorlim will be held on Sunday. Total 15 candidates are in fray.
Total 55,519 voters will exercise their right to vote across 74 polling booths. The voting will take place from 8.00am to 5.00pm, while the COVID-19 positive patients will be entitled to cast their vote in last hour of the poll.
Total 15 candidates are in fray of which seven are in Davorlim while four each in Reis Magos and Cortalim. Congress has fielded candidates in all three ZP constituencies while, BJP and AAP in two constituencies each.
The Commission has made arrangements for conduct elections in free, fair and transparent manner.
