Cortalim MLA Anton Vas, along with his wife Merciana Vas, an independent candidate for the Sancoale Zilla Panchayat, cast their votes on Sunday, expressing confidence over the strong public response in the ongoing ZP elections.
Speaking to the media after voting, Anton Vas said there was a tremendous response from the people, attributing it to the developmental work carried out in the constituency. He added that voters were appreciative of initiatives undertaken for the welfare of residents.

Independent candidate Merciana Vas echoed similar sentiments, stating that people had witnessed visible development works completed within a short span of three years following her election in the by-elections. She said the support from voters reflected their trust in continued development and transparent governance.
