Casanova learns a lesson

Tiatr: Lifetime Award
Cast: David, Meena, Mitchelle, Caziton de Cacora, Menino, Cia, Marques, Caetano, Betty
Director: Comedian Ambe
Band: Roy Menezes (saxophone), Ashley (keyboard), Lony (bass), Deflon (drums)
Story: David (David) is quite the womaniser, flirting with girls to his heart’s content and then dumping them with the excuse that his father, who is abroad, would disapprove of the relationship. Will anyone put a stop to this ways?
Review:
As his father (Marques) serves abroad, David is brought up by his paternal uncle, Mendonca (comedian Ambe), and aunt Betty (Betty). David spends his father’s hard-earned money by luring and enjoying with young girls.
At one point, David seems to be in a committed relationship with Meena (Meena). Trusting her boyfriend completely, she gives in to all his wishes and desires. But once satisfied, he dumps her without a second thought.
Before parting, David presents Meena with a gold chain and cash as a souvenir of the relationship. She rejects the gifts and leaves, heartbroken.
Mitchelle (Mitchelle) is the next girl in his life and she truly believes that David is a decent boy. Despite warnings from relatives, Mitchelle carries on with the relationship, only to be rejected at the drop of a hat.
Now, what happens when Meena and Mitchelle meet accidentally? Will they come together to teach their common betrayer a lesson? Will the duo succeed in their mission? Who assists them and how?
Comedian Ambe’s tiatr, ‘Lifetime Award’, is a story related to the dreaded disease AIDS. How the modern youth prefers to enjoy at the cost of their parents’ hard-earned money and the end result of using women form the highlight of the drama.
David plays his negative role convincingly. He is ably assisted by Meena, Mitchelle and Cia. Mitchelle, a newcomer on stage, has a bright future on the Konkani stage. Marques in a fatherly character, is supportive in the second half. Caziton de Cacora as Messi stands out in his challenging role, both in dialogue and body language. Comedian Ambe, Caetano and Betty form a comical trio for some lighter moments.
In the category of songs, Menino, Betty, A M Pacheco, Benny de Aldona and Marques entertain with their solos, while a song by Caziton, David, Meena, Mitchelle, Cia and Betty receive an encore. Instead, of several solos, a duet, duo and trio could have been incorporated in the drama for complete entertainment.
