PANJIM: Jesmond Clemente, Aston Soares and Jesus Rego bagged the first, second and third place respectively in solo male senior category at the Kala Academy’s 14th tiatr kantaram singing competition. Alfredo Fernandes, Hashvaine Fernandes and Antonio Xavier Correia were awarded with consolation prizes in the same category.
In solo male junior category, Holly Rodrigues, Nariko Fernandes and Mevrick Noronha won the first, second and third prize respectively. In the solo female senior category, Kerryann Albuquerque, Elodie Vailanka Goes and Rutuja Lotlikar bagged the first, second and third prize respectively. The consolation prizes were awarded to Flaviolla Pereira and Maclyna Fernandes in the same category.
In the solo female junior category, Newita Albuquerque bagged the first prize, Shanika Caralho and Shania Silveira bagged the second and third prize respectively. Diella Coelho, Sybil Rodrigues and Shanaya Carvalho were awarded consolation prizes.
In the duo category, Aston Soares and Minguel Noronha bagged the first prize, while Judith Esteves and Drisha Coelho won the second prize and Raisa Pinto and Krislyn D’Souza were awarded the third prize. Raisa Pinto, Krislyn D’Souza and Delaila Fernandes were awarded the consolation prizes.
The consolation prize in Choral was awarded to Minguel Noronha, Lloyd Camelo, Cybel Colaco and Avancia Colaco.
The competition was held at the Black Box of Kala Academy and there were 51 entries in various categories. Antonio Velho, Fr. Bernard Cotta and Irene Cardozo e Vaz were the judges and they evaluated the performances of the participants.
