Kitem Goemcho Fud’dar?

We all come into this world to go back finally to where we really belong. We come empty handed and will go back the same way, so let us preserve and protect what little good is left in Goa for our generations to come. Our ancestors left us the best before their departure from this world with a clean and clear intention that we will take care of the same and pass it on to our next generations and accordingly the transfer cycle will continue. Sadly we the present generation of Goa turned out to be very selfish, greedy and destructive. Most of the times we all failed to understand the simple difference between development and destruction. Some of us have even sold our old big ancestral houses, properties, etc; and with such ugly actions we have proved our unfaithfulness to our mai Goa. It is our moral responsibility to take care of our mother nature so that our future generations will also enjoy the fruits of nature the way we did. Doesn’t matter what/who we are and how much do we have, none of us  have any right to sell our own ancestral treasures though some of us has sold and by doing this we have sold our roots, our identity, our conscious and the rights of our future generations who are yet to see the light of this world. We have sold their future even before their birth and they will never forgive us. Such is the state of our soul these days and the greed has taken over our soul.
Since liberation from colonial rule, Goa was ruled by destructive elected governments. The first elected government headed by Bahusaheb Bandodkar had plans to sell Goa for all to Maharashtra, he almost succeeded but the historic opinion poll saved our identity and it is still alive till date though I cannot predict about the future. Then came the Congress and successfully introduced their ruin and loot policy. Due to the usual infighting among the Corrupt Congress, Parrikar managed to take the top hot seat but his dictatorial attitude resulted his fall though he was a good administrator. The Congress was back into power and there was no looking back for them with regard to their own introduced loot and ruin policy. It is the Congress who introduced nature destructive projects like the Mopa airport, Golf course at Tiracol etc. There was no limit with regard to mining and because of that the real mining dependents are miserably suffering due to the present closure of the same. The last Congress government headed by Digambar Kamat was the most corrupt government in the history of Goan politics and looks like the present government headed by Parsekar will break all the past Congress records with regard to destruction of nature.
The Congress was shown their place and BJP was voted to power as there was no other choice available. The Congress was reduced to a single digit in the Legislative assembly. People of Goa thought that now it’s time to relax and the new elected BJP government will take care of Goa. But we Goans were wrong in our conclusion as the BJP government started to follow the footsteps of the corrupt Congress. They allowed the leading hotels to use bouncers against their own people at Tiracol. Mopa airport is on their priority list and we all know that it is a massive land scam and the government is not showing any concern towards the poor farmers of MOPA. Another land grabbing by our own government at Tuem in the name of electronic city against which a poor farmer named Amarnath is fighting a lost battle. Now the land grabbing for defense Expo is in the news and our CM, Parsekar has threatened his own people for opposing the project. Is this government of the people?
Goa is a small beautiful place with beautiful peace loving people, once known for natural beauty throughout the world. Goa is a sacred place, our land is a holy land, our fields are fertile, no words to describe the beauty of our precious hills. Our coastal belt is fragile and overloaded with hotels. It cannot take any more loads. I cannot come on the streets every now and then to protest against the destructive projects forced on my land because I have to work to take care of my children and my family. My dear so called elected leaders in power; I join my hands and beg to you. Please think and work as Goans. We have elected you to protect Goa and not to sell. Please stop selling and save what little natural is remaining for our generations to come. Please don’t convert this holy fertile land of ours into a concrete jungle. God bless you and Viva Goa!
