On the ‘World Environment Day’ 2020, HERALD enlightened the readers with the various signs of tangible improvements in nature that the 70-day long nationwide COVID-19 enforced lockdown brought in. A year later we feel sorry to say how COVID-19 has now left its impact on the nature, too. With the second wave of COVID-19 creating havoc across country—Goa not being an exception the coastal State has an unlikely menace at hand—the rising pile of bio-medical waste.
