RAIA: The third AFC Futsal Coaching Course under the auspices of AIFF and GFA was held at Chowgule futsal indoor court in Margao in which 15 participants, including three females, from Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Punjab participated.
The course was conducted by AIFF’s Head Instructor, Joshuah Stan Vaz from Goa (YFA, Margao), the only certified AFC’s futsal coach educator in India.
This was the third course conducted by Joshua, the earlier ones being held in 2018 and 2019 which were organised by Youth Futsal Academy (YFA), whose founder is Socorro Vaz. There were three Goans – Sherman Vaz, Nathan Gonsalves and Jonathan Faleiro who attended the 6-day course which was made possible due to the efforts of late Jaju Fernandes who was the Chairman of GFA’s Futsal and Beach Football Committee.
A minute’s silence was observed in memory of late Jaju.
