PANJIM: A total of 36 cyclists successfully completed Tri Goa’s ‘State Borders’ 300km
Brevets Randonneur Mondiaux (BRM) endurance cycle ride in the wee hours of Monday in the stipulated time limit of 20 hours.
Likewise, 15 cyclists successfully completed Tri Goa’s Brevets Populaire 150km ride within the stipulated 10 hours. Prakash Khatri (26) of Ponda completed the 150km ride in 5:47 hours.
Camorlim’s Adlin Mascarenhas was the only woman to complete the 300km ride, teenagers, Megan Fernandes of Saligao and Micha Fernandes of Aldona completed the 150km ride successfully.
The cyclists taking part in the 300km BRM, cycled to the state borders of Dodamarg, Mollem and Pollem before cycling along the western coastline to Dabolim airport, Old Goa and back to Panjim before the 0200 hrs cut-off on Monday to qualify for a special medal from Audax Club Paris in France.
