60 footballers selected for next phase of United We Play

PANJIM: A total of 60 talented football youngster made the cut to participate in the next phase of trialsfor the third season of the flagship grassroots football programme ‘United We Play’ organised by Apollo Tyres, in association with Manchester United, in Goa on Wednesday.

 The initiative, which aims to encourage young football talent, saw an overwhelming response from budding footballers of the state. 

Over 630 youngsters participated in the trials, which were held at St Anthony High School and Sinquetim Sports Complex.

The next phase of the trials will be held in Mumbai next month.

 The best talent from across locations will participate in the grand finale of the competition and winners will get a trip to Manchester, with several experiential activities at Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United.
