PANJIM: 6TTR, Ponda and RCC Fatorda bagged top honours in men’s and women’s senior category respectively at 23rd Taekwondo State championship and 3rd Poomsae Seniors Taekwondo State championship organized by Taekwondo Association of Goa (TAG), at indoor stadium, Ponda, recently.
A total of 16 gold and silver and 32 bronze medals were at stake.
RCC Ponda and RCC Fatorda bagged the second and third spot respectively in the men’s category. Taekwondo Academy of Vasco and SAG secured the second and third positions in the women’s category.
Col. O X Rebello from 6TTR, Ponda attended the closing and medal ceremonies. Sarpanch of Priol Village Panchayat Damodar Naik and SAI co-ordinator Suhsil Divakar were also present.
P Anand was felicitated for being selected in the Indian team ahead of the 17th Asian Games.
