RAIA: ABC 13, Maina-Curtorim, will meet Chandrawaddo Boys, Fatorda, in the final of 17th Rebello Pandal All-Goa Open Football Tournament organised by Rebello Pandal, Maina, at St Rita Church ground, Maina-Curtorim.
On Thursday, ABC 13 defeated Micon Warriors, Agalli, 3-2 via tie-breaker in the semi-final.
In the first session, Micon Warriors missed three scoring opportunities through Milton, Jesroy and Michael, while ABC 13 missed through Nickson Castanah and Joywin Carneiro. Both teams played an attacking football and kept the huge crowd on their toes till the final whistle of the match.
The match ended in a goalless draw and tie-breaker was introduced to decide the finalist.
In the resultant tie-breaker, ABC 13 proved to be the better shooters.
The finals will be played on Easter Sunday on March 31. The man-of-the-match award was awarded to Milton of Micon Warriors by Ivona Rebello, while best goalkeeper to Prestly of ABC 13 by Rosario Fernandes.
