MAPUSA: ABC Sports Club, Arambol, defeated United Club, Nerul 2-0 to move into the semi-finals of the 22nd Vagator Soccer 2022 organised by Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club, at Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club ground, Ozran, on Thursday. In the first half the score read 0-0.
After crossing ends, ABC, Arambol took the lead in the 47th minute when a long ball from Jason Fernandes saw substitute Sanchet Gawade control it and loft over the Nerul goalkeeper.
In the 67th minute Pratik Kannaik of ABC, Arambol missed a sitter as he was denied by the Nerul keeper Siddesh Morji.
Two minutes later ABC, Arambol scored their second goal when Pratik Kannaik netted from a header off a cross from the right flank by Cyprian Rodrigues.
The man-of-the-match award went to Jason Fernandes of ABC SC, Arambol and was presented by Cedric Fernandes.
