MARGAO: Active Boys, Mugalli thrashed Togo Boys, Menezes Bhatt 6-1 to move into the pre-quarters of the FC Mugali Areal inter-ward football tournament, organized by FC Mugalli, at Fernandes ground, on Tuesday.
Active Boys led 2-0 at half time with goals from Rancio Mascarenhas and Jovito Monteiro. Crossing over, Active Boys increased their lead with Jovito securing his brace in the 36th minute. A defensive lapse cost Active Boys as John pulled a goal back.
However, Active Boys regrouped and made it 4-1 through Socorro Monteiro.
Jovito registered his hat-trick and Rony Monteiro rounded off the tally in the 44th minute.
