RAIA: Agnelite Boys, Arlem, emerged champions in the 3rd All-Goa 2-a-side tie-breaker football tournament organised by the Parish Youth of Raia, at village panchayat ground, here, recently. St Khuris Boys (I), Raia, were the runners-up.
The winners were awarded with cash prize of Rs 8,000 and a trophy, while the runners-up had to settle for Rs 5,000 and a trophy. Seby Colaco bagged the best penalty shooter award, while Kegun Dias was judged as the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Raia Sarpanch Peter Quadros presented the prizes to the winners and runners-up.
Earlier, Fr Rony Fernandes, animator of the Parish Youth declared the tournament open scoring a penalty kick. Around 98 teams from across the State participated.
