RAIA: ABC 13, Maina, downed Star Boys, Sao Jose de Areal, 5-2 to move in the semi-final of 17th Rebello Pandal All-Goa Open Football tournament organised by Rebello Pandal, Maina, at St Rita Church ground, Maina-Curtorim, on Thursday. Both teams played an attacking soccer and scored two goals each in first session of play.
Joywin Carneiro opened the score line for ABC 13 in the 6th minute. Soon, Leo of Star Boys equalised through penalty kick in the 10th minute. ABC 13 doubled the lead through Agnelo in the 30th minute but Raymon Fernandes of Stars Boys brought the team on equal terms in the 34th minute before the half time, 2-2.
In the second session of play, Agnelo scored two quick goals in the 40th and 43rd minute to complete his hat-trick for ABC 13.
Mario, Rayman and Tushar tried hard to find the net for Sao Jose de Areal. Later, Nickson Castanah scored another goal for ABC 13 from a free-kick in the 55th minute.
Carlos Pais, sports lover, gave the man-of-the-match to Ronit of Star Boys, while Angelice Rebello presented a special prize to Agnelo for his hat-trick.
