Viva Kerala and Air India had to settle for a 1-1 draw in a round two tie of I-league at the Sahu Maharaj ground, Kolhapur on Tuesday. Both goals were scored in the first half.
The teams took a cautious approach and showed no sign of hurry, but it was Viva Kerala who took the lead in the ninth minute through C S Sabeeth.
Mohammed Muneer saw his shot blocked by Air India goalkeeper Arup Debnath, but to the Mumbai’s outfit despair, the ball fell in for Sabeeth, who wasted no time to slot it home.
After some drab play, in the 33 rd minute, Air India made a comeback and scored the equaliser through Manjit Singh.
