CURTORIM: AJ Cumborda defeated Jolina Carmel 4-2 to book a semifinal spot in the Good Shepherd Cup 2022 organised by Good Shepherd Charity Trust at St Alex church ground, Curtorim, on Thursday.
AJ Cumborda shot into the lead through Avilson in the seventh minute but their joy was short lived as Backdon equalised in the 12th minute.
Jolina Carmel took the lead through Mascarenhas in the 19th minute but AJ Cumborda came back stronger in the second half and equalised through Valzino.
Myron then scored from a rebound off goalkeeper Caitano to make it 3-2 for Cumborda before Aliston made it safe.
AJ Cumborda play Black Arrow, Agxem, in the second semi- final on Saturday.
