CURTORIM: AJ Cumborda got better off Youth of Curtorim via the tie-breaker to lift the Good Shepherd Cup, organised by Good Shepherd charity trust, at St Alex church ground, Curtorim on Sunday.
AJ Cumborda took the lead in the 10th minute of the match through Mackson Fernandes. Post-resumption, Youth of Curtorim equalised through Anthony who dribbled past a couple of rival players and struck from the top of the box to make it 1-1.
In the resultant penalty shoot-outs, Myron, Fredy, Veron and Mackson scored for AJ Cumborda while Lezly, Ryan and Milagres found the net for Youth of Curtorim.
Reginald Lourenco MLA of Curtorim constituency was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Fr.Joseph Roland Salema, Parish Priest of St Alex church and other dignitaries.
