Al-Huda Islamic, King’s School win

MARGOA: Al-Huda Islamic International High School and King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal moved into the second round of the 17th late Mukund Trikannad U-16 Inter-School All Goa Cricket Tournament, organised by Margao Criket Club, at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, Marga, on Tuesday.

MARGOA: Al-Huda Islamic International High School and King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal moved into the second round of the 17th late Mukund Trikannad U-16 Inter-School All Goa Cricket Tournament, organised by Margao Criket Club, at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, Marga, on Tuesday.
Al-Huda Islamic International HS defeated Damodar English High School, Gudi-Paroda by 9 wickets. 
Batting first, Damodar English HS scored just 55 runs in 11.2 overs.
Maqbool Mansoor was the top scorer for Gudi school with 16 runs. 
Mallik Rehan 2-12, Mohd. Barrak 4-16 and Emad Shaikh 1-6 were the pick of the Al-Huda HS.
Later, Al-Huda II HS achieved the target easily in the 9th over with a loss of a wicket.
In the second match, King’s HS defeated Adarsh HS, Margao by 10 wickets. 
Batting first, Adarsh V HS managed to score just 98 runs in their inning.
In reply, King’s School achieved the target in style without losing a single wicket. Shashank Verenkar and Izan Shaikh remained unbeaten with 46 and 31 runs respectively.
