TALEIGAO: Albert Developers Sports Club scored a fluent 3-0 win over Young Boys of Tonca in the Goa Football Association Ilhas Zone League match played at Taleigao ground, on Friday.
The winners attacked from the word go and didn’t give any time for Young Boys of Tonca to settle in the game as they scored in the fourth minute after Jolitan Fernandes played a defence splitting pass to Gaurav Kankonar, who took a couple of steps before slamming in the team’s first goal.
The second goal was scored in the 25th minute from a free-kick. Joel Fernandes’ power-drive had no answer from the rival keeper, as they were up 2-0 at the break.
Changing ends, Albert Developers continued to press forward and were given a chance to inflate their tally at the hour mark when Tonca defenders handled the ball in the box.
Shankar stepped over and coolly converted from the spot.
