PANJIM: Albert Developers Veterans defeated Navelim Veterans 5-4 in the Quepem Veterans Rolling Cup organised by Navyug Vikas Manch, at Borimol sports ground, Quepem, on Friday.
Both the teams started the game on an attacking note however Albert Developers took away the limelight in the nail biting 9-goal match.
Paixao gomes scored two fine goals for Albert Developers Veterans in 5th and 9th minutes.
Soon Denis Cabral pulled a goal back for Navelim Veterans in the 11th minutes and in the 15th minute Bazil Dias levelled terms for Navelim Veterans.
Scores levelled Albert Developers got back up and soon scored in the 20th minute through Agusto however the joy was short lived as it did not take long for Navelim Veterans to find the equaliser which came through Denis.
Post resumption, Albert Developers Veterans scored two more goals through Francis and Paixao Gomes.
Couple of minutes later, Edwin pulled one back for Navelim Veterans.
Navelim Veterans could have levelled the score but Albert Developers Veterans defended resolutely in the dying minutes.
