PANJIM: Albert Developers Tigers defeated Borim Sports Club by 127 runs in the Albert Developers Sports Club’s 1st All-Goa Season Ball Cricket Tournament played at Sports Authority of Goa ground, Campal-Panjim on Tuesday.
In the one-sided affair, Man-of-the-Match Tekhatir Bahadur scored 25 runs off 22 balls and claimed 4 wickets in two overs while Gaurish Khandeparkar scored 46 runs off 14 balls.
The other top scorers for Albert Developers were Shishir Divkar (26), Sher Bahadur Yadav (18), Mauktar Kadri (17) as they took the tally to 191/7 in 20 overs.
Borim Sports Club bowlers were hit all over the place despite Vikesh Kaushik, Youraj Kanwade and Ashay Korde picked two wickets each. Kishor Parpati picked a wicket.
However, the Borim side failed to face the rival bowlers as Muktar Kadri and Tekhatir picked 4 wickets each while Sarfaraj picked a wicket to hold Borim SC at 64/9 (all out) in 9 overs.
Sawan Fateparkar (39) was the high scorer for Borim SC.
Earlier, Albert Developers Lions scored a resounding 58-run victory over SA Cricketers Chimbel.
Batting first, Albert Developers Lions were restricted to 125 for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Akhtar Kwaja was the top wicket taker for the Chimbel side with four wickets. Man-of-the-Match Saif Ali Kharajgi scored 44 runs off 43 deliveries while Nikhil D scored 25 runs and Akhil Patel scored 11.
In reply, Albert Developers bundled out SA Cricketers Chimbel for 68 runs in just 15 overs.
