PANJIM: Rhian Pollard netted a fine hat-trick as Aldona beat Divar, 7-3 in the boys U-13 match on day two of the 6th Edition of the GFDC Rising Star Football Festival,played at Quitla ground at Aldona.
Velestino and Samuel secured a brace each for the winners.
Mayem registered a solitary goal win against Poira in a U-13 boys match played at Mayem ground.
In the U-13 girl’s match, Mayem downed Poira 3-1. In the U-10 boys category, Mayem emerged victorious yet again by scoring a solitary goal against Poira.
At Pernem ground, Pernem defeated Socorro 2-1 via the tie-breaker in a U-13 girl’s match.
While Socorro defeated Pernem 1-0 in the U-13 boy’s match and in the U-10 boy’s match Socorro edged past Pernem 2-1.
Meanwhile, in the GFDC zone-8-football tournament held at Ugem, Ugem beat Devbag 5-0 in the girls U-13 category. Sidhi scored a hat-trick while Dipika and Vashnavi netted a goal each for Ugem.
In the U-13 boys, Ugem steamrolled Devbag 9-0. Rueben netted four goals while Salvy and Daksh netted a brace each.
In the U-10 boys match, Ugem blanked Devbag 3-0. Cleston, Sahil and Derick netted a goal each for Ugem.
