PANJIM: United Boys of Ambaulim registered a fluent 7-2 win over Pinto’s Youth Club of Baradi in the Goa Football Association U-14 League match played at Quepem Sports Complex, on Tuesday.
Pinto’s were the first to take the lead in the second minute itself through Ariston Da Costa. However, United Boys of Ambaulim came back strongly and scored three through Andriano Gomes double and Likson Rebello strike as the winners led 3-1 at the break.
In the second half, Andriano Gomes completed his hat-trick.
Juslon Carvalho, Xavier Rebello and Likson Rebello netted a goal each to make it 7 for winners. Tinon Fernandes pulled another goal back for the losing team.
At the artificial turf ground, Salcete Football Club ran riot over Maina Sports Club 9-0.
Salcete FC totally outplayed their opponents in all departments of the game and scored at regular intervals.
Sanvesh Palkar scored a fine hat-trick for the winners while Clifton Rocha and Sneden Rodrigues netted a brace each for Salcete FC as they led 4-0 at the break.
Pio Gomendes and Sam Moura also got on the score sheet with a strike each.
