MARGAO: Ambelim Sports Club and Goa Velha Sports Club played an enthralling 3-3 draw in the Goa Football Association’s-Vedanta Women’s League match played at Ambelim ground, on Tuesday.
The match was filled with plenty of actions as despite of Ansiva Vaz’s impressive hat-trick for Goa Velha SC, it was Ambelim’s late fight back which saw them come from two goals down to level the game in the second half added time.
Goa Velha SC took the lead in the second minute through the Rosary college star striker Ansiva, when on receiving the ball from the midfield, lobbed the ball past the onrushing keeper.
However, Ambelim SC equalised in the ninth minute through Nevdila Colaso.
After an end-to-end affair, it was Ansiva Vaz once again with the goal for Goa Velha SC just before the breather.
Once up by a goal, Goa Velha had enjoyed better share of possession and once returning back from the break they score their third, thanks to Ansiva, who was later adjourned the player-of- the-match.
But Ambelim SC didn’t give up as they scored two goals in the span of six minutes.
Anlin Fernandes scored the team’s second in the 66th minute before Palomi Pires netted the equaliser in the injury time.
