PANJIM: Amblora defeated Santbollem-Pirni 4-3 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Fr Bruno Diniz memorial Nagoa-Verna inter-ward football tournament, organized by Friends of Nagoa, at Nagao panchayat ground, on Sunday.
Santbollem-Pirni took the early lead in the 15th minute of the match through their young striker Seby Goes. Santbollem were leading by a goal at the break.
Amblora went all out at the start of the second half and were successful to get the equalizer in the 35th minute of the match through Veliston.
In the ensuring tie-breaker, Amblora proved better shooters than the Santbollem side. Legorio, Braven, Melborn and Elvis scored for Amblora while Mario, Savio and Robert converted for Santbollem.
