The match was played at 2 p.m under a hot sun, clearly adverse conditions for the footballers.
Sesa chief coach Clifford Chukwuma did not use the heat as an excuse for the defeat. “Our problem was our finishing. We did not take our chances and to make matters worse I had to replace one of our strikers Lezly Fernandes to bring on our reserve goalkeeper.”
On a brighter note for Sesa their remaining four matches will be played at the more sensible time of 4 p.m.
Star striker Marcus Mascarenhas, who is recovering with a knee injury played a small part in today’s encounter and should be back in the starting line-up for the next match against New Delhi Heroes on April 5.
