Kerala won the toss and elected to field. They found the first breakthrough in the form of Amogh Desai (74) when the score was 92. Goa’s next three batsmen, Swapnil Asnodkar (14), Sagun Kamat (41) and Rohit Asnodkar (4) lost their wickets through lbw’s.
But then, Saurabh Bandekar (60) and Darshan Misal’s (67 not out) 108 run partnership brought some stability as Goa the stumps fell on the opening day.
Basil Tambi did most of the damage, picking up three wickets while Niyas Nazir clinched two and Padmanabhan Prasanth took one wicket.
