PANJIM: Amrish Parab of Herald clinched the singles titles inter media table tennis title organised by Sports Journalists Association of Goa at Indoor Stadium, Campal-Panjim, Thrusday. Vinay Salkar and Anirudh Raul of Navhind bagged the doubles championship.
In the singles final Amrish Parab defeated Vinay Salkar of Navhind Times 511, 611, 114, 511. In the semis Amrish defeated Pankaj Khasnis of Times of India and Vinay defeated Shekhar Naik of Lokmat.
In doubles final Vinay Salkar and Anirudh Raul defeated Mitesh Pai and Pankaj Khasnis of Times of India 1614, 911, 911, 611.
The table tennis tournament was conducted by Swapnil Hoble. In the team championshio after chess, carrom and Table tennis Herald is leading by 30 points followed by Lokmat with 24, Times of India 22, Navhind Times 16, Prudent 6 points. Badminton tournament be held on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by prize distribution.
Bruno Coutinho, joint director of Sports Authority of Goa, Gurudatta Bhakta, Secretary General, Goa Olympic Association and Narhar Thakur, Secretary, Goa Badminton Association will be the Guests on the occasion.
