Anik, Maculate emerge fastest in 100m

PANJIM: Anik Naik and Maculate Rodrigues emerged fastest in the 100m boys and girls athletics respectively conducted by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs in collaboration with Goa Athletic Association at Banbolim Stadium, Bambolim.

Anik, from Salcete taluka, clocked the fastest time of 11.60 seconds while Myaon Lendez from Mormugao settled for the second spot. Deepak Sonar of Ponda finished third.
In the girls U-19 100m event: Maculate Rodrigues from Canacona finished top with 14.59 sec. Sahini Pandit from Mormugao taluka finished second while Abhigail Fernandes from Salcete settled for the third spot.
Other results are: Girls U-10 50m: First place Gail Fernandes, second Adora Cardozo and Third Mareen Colaco. Boys U-10 50m: Princeton Pinto, Shannon Palha and Shardul Pandit.
Girls U-10 100m: Joslika D’Costa, Dores Govesand and Iyan Soares.
Boys U-10 100m: Gangaram Kharat, Ian Fernandes and Sriram Talwar.
Girls U-14 100m: Rizma Fernandes, Chelsea Crasto and Akansha Mahadeshwar. Boys U-14 100m: Velentino D’Souza, Jaganath Kambli and Sester Lendez. Girls U-14 400m: Sonal Malik, Uma Tirki and Ankita Gaonkar. Boys U-14 400m: Vardhan Gaonkar, Ajit Gaude and Vignesh.
Girls U-16 100m: Tanvi Vargaonkar, Fatima Dias and Chanda Gaonkar.
Boys U-16 100m: Sanjit Paul, Joel Pereira and Desmond Pereira. Girls U-16 800m: Shambhavi Naik, Manisha Salgaonkar and Nishila Parsekar. Boys U-16 800m: Niraj Kerkar, Kabir Khan and Teddy Cardozo.
Girls U-19 1500m: Danita Diniz, Shradha Sainuchi and Karishma Shirvaikar. Boys U-19 1500m: Ajay Vishwakarma, Steven Colaco and Vaibhav Naik.
