PANJIM: Anjana Kumari, Yasmin Sayed in U-19 girls and Aashrun Gautam and Yash Kunkolienker in the U-19 boys category moved into the semi-finals of the 12th Manohar Dhond Memorial Major Ranking badminton tournament, organised in collaboration with Goa Badminton Association and the SAG, at Indoor stadium, Campal.
In U-19 girls, Aahana Nayak and Sachi Dhavalikar were the other two who made it into the semis while Parth Kantak and Arjun Fallary made it into the boys U-19 semi-finals line-up with hard fought wins in their quarter-final matches. Following are the quarter-finals results: U-17 girls singles: Yasmin Sayed bt Priyamwada Maurya 21-3, 21-3 Simran Pathak bt Lesha Lotlikar 21-13, 14-21, 21-13 Aahana Nayak bt Dhiti Lotlikar 21-11, 21-15, Sachi Dhavalikar bt Isha Kulkarni 21-6, 21-4. U-17 boys singles: Sushil Nayak bt Chetan Magdum 21-9, 21-4, Archit Bhargav bt Soham Naik 21-2, 21-2, Ayaan Sheikh bt Tejas Tendulkar 21-15, 22-20, Arjun Fallary bt Parth Kantak 21-10, 21-14. U-19 girls singles: Anjana Kumari bt Akanksha K 21-3, 21-4, Aahana Nayak bt Lesha Lotlikar 19-21, 21-7, 21-18, Sachi Dhavalikar bt Simran Pathak 21-16, 21-11, Yasmin Sayed bt Priyamwada Maurya 21-3, 21-8.
